Het Bestuur van de UBS is in 2023 nog steeds bezig met onderhandelingen de groeve weer beschikbaar te krijgen voor speleologen. Het blijft dus nog afwachten.

De groeve van Villers-le-Gambon bij Philippeville in België is tot nader order gesloten voor speleo- en klimactiviteiten. Alle bestaande reserveringen zijn opgeschort.

De UBS is met de overheidsinstanties bezig met het regelen van de benodigde milieuvergunningen voor het gebruik van de groeve. De toegang, het gebruik van de routes en de via ferrata zijn dus verboden. Evenals het bivakkeren of andere vorm van kamperen.

Er worden controles uitgevoerd door de bevoegde instanties en overtreders riskeren een boete. Maak de lopende administratieve procedures niet ingewikkelder met wilde acties!
